Description
Leidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers with smarter, more efficient digital and mission innovations. We’re looking for an experienced communications professional to lead the communications function for one of our Digital Modernization business sector. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Communications & Marketing Officer and collaborate with senior executives and other functional teams to develop and implement communications and marketing strategies that drive growth, advance the Leidos brand in priority markets and foster employee engagement.
The Sector Communications Director will act as the main functional point of contact for all sector communications activities. They will lead and manage a team of communications professionals responsible for supporting growth and ensure alignment within the sector and with all enterprise initiatives. The Communications Director develops and oversees all communications strategies and deliverables for sector executive communications, media relations, traditional and digital marketing, social media and employee communications. As the lead communications resource for the sector, the right candidate must balance multiple priorities and requirements with agility and resourcefulness. The successful candidate will have a broad communication skillset, demonstrate initiative, be a strong writer and go-to trusted advisor.
The ideal candidate will reside in the Washington, D.C. metro area and work out of the Leidos Global Headquarters in Reston, Va.
