Overview

IDC's Emerging Vendor Sales Team is looking for an Account Executive who will focus on selling IDC's research, data, and custom consulting products. This position is ideally based in the Bay Area, but we will consider qualified candidates on the west coast.

This remote position can be located on the west coast, with a preferrance to the Bay Area ( California).

Responsibilities

  • Work with C-level executives to align IDC's value with client strategy
  • Will have direct quota responsibility for both current clients (15+/-) as well as prospects
  • Account management with outcome of increased overall YoY Total Bookings
  • Proficiency in account planning and territory management
  • Accurate daily activity reporting, and monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting
  •  Learn IDC products and services, that align with your territory, accounts, and competitors
  • Help clients get the most value out of their market research investment and will focus on renewing contracts, business retention, and account growth
  • Communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with other internal IDC stakeholders to continue to develop opportunities within account base


Qualifications



  • 3+ years of quota carrying technology related sales experience, along with strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong telephone cold calling experience
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing both existing and prospect accounts while developing high level relationships
  • Additionally, this person will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, and collaborative, as well as be a self-starter and a quick-thinker
  • This position requires strong time management and organization skills
  • Prior market research industry sales experience is helpful, but not required

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $120,000 and $150,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
