Employee Type: Temporary The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day administrative human resources functions and duties, to include generating reports, compiling and updating employee/applicant records, coordinating interviews and HR events, serving as a point of contact for employees, and completing other human resources administrative tasks as needed. Job Description: Essential Duties: • Assist with meeting arrangements, paper and electronic filing, sorting and distribution of documents, data input, and employee functions. • Assist with managing the employee information database as required. • Assist with day-to-day human resources functions. • Support special projects as requested. • Maintain a strong working relationship with mine site staff and vendors. • Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws. • Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures, employment law regulations, and state and federal environmental regulations. Other Duties: • Assist other departments on an as-needed basis. • Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills. • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, office employees, and workforce. • Advanced proofreading skills. • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced work environment. • Must have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive material. • Ability to identify potential problems and handle them appropriately. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Work effectively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills. • Recognize and respond effectively to unexpected situations and tight deadlines. Education and Training: • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management, or a similar degree program from an accredited university.
