Job Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties to assemble components, move raw and finished product to maintain product flow.

 

  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes, performance goals and environment.
  • Setup material to support assembly production and other operations using a variety of manual and mechanical methods as required.
  • Inspect material for quality and verify accuracy of raw components and finished goods using the Bill of Material.
  • Assist in line changeovers and returning raw material to stock.
  • Place cartons or material on skids per pallet specifications, using vacuum assist where required. 
  • Stretch wrap and move skids to finished goods staging area.
  • Create LPN's to move inventory into finished goods.
  • Assist or substitute for machine operators as needed, performing the job requirements for those duties.
  • Other related and similar duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Understand verbal and written instructions. Able to effectively communicate with the team.
  • Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines in order prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Physical presence at designated worksite, work a 40 hour work schedule, maintain consistent and acceptable attendance and work overtime as required, including weekend and holiday work based on business demands.
  • Pay close attention to detail and follow instructions and procedures to meet quality standards.
  • Work in a team environment by assisting in training and facilitating job duties for other team members (including temps). Demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Successfully complete and pass required Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training and test and obtain and maintain appropriate PIV licensing.
  • Use Radio Frequency (RF) units.
  • Able to work in a machine paced environment and meet production targets.
  • Mechanically inclined. Experience operating the following equipment: Hand Tools, Strappers, Hand Pallet Jack, Fork Trucks, and automatic tape machines.
  • Knowledge of Oracle WMS.

Perform repetitive tasks as required.

 

Perform pre-shift stretching (includes: bending, reaching and stretching with hands, arm, legs and feet and bending and twisting waist) as required for position.

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
