Job Summary and Description:

EPRI is looking for a Human Resources Student Employee to provide operational support for assigned location in partnership with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.

  • Support Talent Acquisition to coordinate and facilitate on-site candidate experience.
  • Support recruiting of Student Employee open requisitions (creation, candidate screening, extending offers)
  • Initiating and monitoring pre-employment screenings, coordinating onboarding activities, ensuring accuracy of paperwork and hiring details in HRIS
  • Support Employee Engagement Partner to transition new hires from day-one to comprehensive onboarding program.
  • Provide timely delivery in responding to manager and employee inquiries while escalating questions when needed.
  • Responsible for accurate processing of all employee actions from hire to termination.
  • Support HR Advisory team in monthly/quarterly reporting process.
  • Assists with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned. This may include office/clerical work as well as coordination of communication activities.
  • Participate in and support small HR projects.


Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business or HR-related major
  • Experience supporting organizations across multiple locations and/or time zones preferred
  • Experience working in highly matrixed organizations preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with proven attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Capability to handle administrative support role with a high degree of attention to detail and organization in (data management, spreadsheets, scheduling and other tasks)
  • A general understanding of Human Resources.
  • Capability of performing multiple and complex tasks with limited direction, while having the judgment to know when to ask for directions.

The hourly rate range for Student positions are:

  • Undergraduate: $16-29 per hour
  • Masters: $25-31 per hour
  • Ph.D: $27-34 per hour

These ranges are an estimate, and the actual hourly rate may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The hourly rate may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

As an EPRI Student, you will not participate in EPRI’s Benefit Programs which includes health insurance, retirement benefits, vacation, sick leave (except as set required by law) and holiday pay. However, as a Student employee you are eligible for the benefits of Social Security, State Disability Insurance, and Workers’ Compensation Insurance.

For Student positions which require one to relocate to an EPRI office. Relocation assistance is not provided and the student will be responsible for covering all relocation costs/expenses.

EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA). EPRI uses the system to check the work status of new hires by comparing information from the employee's I-9 form against SSA and Department of Homeland Security databases.
