Our Summer Associate internships will be approximately 8 weeks in length and will begin Summer 2025. Summer Associate positions are for candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and July 2026.

The Data Privacy and Data Governance team possesses and applies a strong working knowledge of US and Global privacy concepts and practices (strategies, internal controls, information analysis, reporting requirements, including trending and communication).
The position requires managing multiple, concurrent project and task assignments, placing proper priorities on tasks and attention to detail in order to follow through all assignments to completion. This position may have client-facing and requires strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform privacy and security related data mapping for global regulations including GDPR and CCPA
  • Provide privacy compliance program advisory services
  • Provide privacy program operations support
  • Perform diligence and interviews for privacy impact assessments
  • Perform vendor IT risk analysis and advise clients regarding privacy compliance issues in Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work
  • Draft privacy related policies and procedures
  • Investigate and document privacy and security incidents
  • Develop privacy training and presentations
Requirements:
  • Progression towards a BA or BS required, Master or JD preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in the privacy, information security and/or data governance fields, can include internships
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one
  • High attention to detail in completing tasks with incomplete facts
  • An ability to communicate complex and technical information in a creative and engaging way to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood and actionable manner
  • An ability to communicate to employees outside Information Security and Privacy Compliance in a way that consistently drives objective decisions about privacy risk to optimize the trade-off between risk mitigation and business performance
  • An understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the business
  • Excellent prioritization capabilities, with an aptitude for breaking down work into manageable parts, effectively assessing the priority and time required to complete each part
Salary Range: $20-35/hr
Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship now or in the future.
