Job Opportunity- SMT Production Operator

Work Schedule-1st Shift (M-F 7am-3am); OT 5am-3pm; Saturdays as needed (5am-11am)

Reports to- Group Leader

Job Location- Spartronics; 2333 Reach Rd; Williamsport, PA 17703


As an SMT Operator at Spartronics, you will work on the assembly and repair of electronic circuit board assemblies using Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment. You'll play a key role in our flexible manufacturing line, operating machines, performing inspections, and ensuring quality standards are met. This is a hands-on role that requires movement across different areas of the production floor.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate SMT machines including: Middle of the line machines, Pre-AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), Reflow oven, and tower loader
  • When needed, assist with front of the line operations such as: the screen printer, SPI (Solder Paste Inspection), and Camelot dispenser, Stringing process and x-ray components for put back.

Team Support:

  • Support Line Leader by covering key front-line equipment when required.
  • Be flexible and willing to work in different departments across the production line as needed (A Operator roles).

Process Compliance:

  • Follow all production, engineering, maintenance, and safety procedures strictly to ensure product quality and workplace safety.

Safety Expectations:

  • Adhere to all federal, state/provincial, and company-specific health and safety regulations.
  • Always use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Comfortable with basic math, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Able to use measurement tools like gauges, rulers, and scales accurately.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
  • Capable of troubleshooting practical issues and following instructions in various formats (written, spoken, diagrams, schedules).
  • Ability to pass a background test.
  • All candidates must be a US Citizen, Green Card Holder, or Permanent Resident due to ITAR Compliance regulations. We can not sponsor visas.
