We operate in three states serving our six service lines - Infrastructure + Analytics, Site, Structures, Survey, Transportation, and Water Resources. We are looking for a Bridge Engineer – Project Manager to support our CDI mission in Building Stronger Communities. By leading projects and guiding the next generation of engineers, you will support our mission and developing a better tomorrow.
Be a part of the CDI Mission:The Structural Bridge Project Manager will be an integral part of our Structures/Bridge Group, leading team members who design various bridges and structures, and supporting our transportation and site development groups with their design needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Managing structural engineering projects by creating scope and budgets, directing the design, and coordinating work with other staff and design team members.
- Signing/sealing work as required.
- Analyzing and designing transportation-related structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structure foundations.
- Serving as a key point of contact with clients, contractors, and local officials.
- Displaying an eagerness to work on a wide variety of project types.
- Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
- Working collaboratively with the CDI Service Leader, Project Engineers, and other team members to develop effective solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with CDI's safety procedures.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Being able to lead a project that includes collaboration with the team as well as managing tasks and being responsive to client needs.
- Proficient with Microstation and ORD platforms.
- Project Management experience with DOT clients.
- Positive attitude
- Ability to be self-directed with focus on quality while working within a team.
- Highly proficient with structural analysis and design software.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while possessing strong interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of bridge construction materials (Steel, Cast-in-Place Concrete, Precast Prestressed Concrete), construction methods, structural inspections, and construction document preparation.
Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a plus but not required).
- Registered PE.
- IL Structural Engineer licensure.
- 10 years plus of bridge design experience.
This role can be based out of the Collinsville, IL, Effingham IL, or St. Louis, MO. The travel expected is up to 10%.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000/year. Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
