JobSummary:

Mid-Level PipingDesigner/Drafter will be responsible for working on designs with the Lead PipeDesigner and preparing layouts and drawingsof complex offshore/onshore piping systems utilizing Company 2D and 3D modelingsoftware. They may occasionally be called upon to with other Drafting groups onvarious projects.

JobDuties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the designs and create drawings forassigned projects from information supplied and/or verbal instructions withguidance from engineering sketches with Group Leader Supervision.

• Responsible for keeping their direct supervisorsupdated on any and all concerns relating to their respective assignments.

• Ensure that alldrawings adhere to client, and/or company drafting standards;

• Ensure that alldrawings adhere to client, company and/or industry design standards;

• Design and draftclean effect piping systems that adhere to safety and maintenancespecifications;

• Perform drawing corrections from suppliedmark-ups.

• Assist with thedesigns of various projects under group leader supervision and draft cleaneffect piping systems that adhere to safety and maintenance specifications.

• Perform corrections to the following drawings:General Arrangements, P&ID's, Piping Plans, Piping Sections, and IsometricSpools.

• Track and reportprogress for assigned project drawings;

• Assist Group Leaderwith creating weight estimates;

• Assist Group Leaderwith creating material estimates;

• Perform site and vendor visits as required;

• Work well with otherdisciplines on the project and help maintain project/client standards.

Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Requires aminimum of five (5) years of piping layout and design experience under a LeadPipe Designer relating to the Upstream / Downstream Oil & Gas market.

• Requiresknowledge and the ability to work with MS Office Suite of products (Excel, Word,Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access);

• Must beproficient in AutoCAD;

• Must have advancedknowledge of piping 2D and 3D software. (Autosdesk Plant 3, Navisworks.

• Must haveadvanced working knowledge of P&ID's, General Arrangements, Piping PlansSections and Details, Pipe Supports and Isometrics;

• Must have theability to layout process equipment with nozzle locations and interconnecting pipingunder Group Leader supervision.

• Must havefield experience in gathering information for retrofit purposes;

• Must have workingknowledge of ASME, ANSI, API RP 14C, API RP 14E, API Spec 6A, NFPA and OSHAstandards;

• Must haveworking knowledge with AWS Welding Symbols and AISC Manual.

WorkingConditions:

• Work is primarily conducted in an officeenvironment (Private or Semi-Private office) but may require occasional travelto off-site work locations;

• Field duties may require outdoor work in aplant or offshore platform atmosphere;

• Interaction with other team members, as wellas supervisors and client personnel;

• Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areasaround production machinery with extreme noise levels;

• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection;

• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes;

• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis.

  • Must be able to lift and carry twenty (20) pounds;
  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits employee to communicate effectively;
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
