Irvine offers warm weather, beautiful scenery, and is a top bicycling city with miles of on-road bicycle lanes and mountain bike trails. IS ADMINISTRATOR II JOB SUMMARY

This position will manage and support the IT environment for our multi-discipline AEC engineering and design teams. We're looking for a System Administrator II who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, and someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting diverse users, and keeping systems running smoothly.


This role will support internal teams with second-tier helpdesk support, manage networking and firewall infrastructure, administer cloud-based tools, and play a key role in maintaining and improving our IT systems.


IS ADMINISTRATOR II JOB DUTIES

  • Provides Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Supports CAD/design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit including installations and network licensing.
  • Administers and manages Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, and Entra ID.
  • Monitors, configures, and maintains network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPN, WatchGuard firewalls, switches.
  • Manages updates and patching across servers and user devices, including via RMM tools.
  • Supports implementation of SIEM/SOC systems, document SOPs, and contribute to IT policy development.
  • Coordinates with Level 1 support staff to ensure efficient ticket resolution.
  • Assists with IT projects including hardware rollouts, cloud integrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Interacts with all departments to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Experience with networking and firewall configuration, WatchGuard preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and Windows desktop environments.
  • Proficiency with Active Directory, group policy, and remote support tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask).
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with mobile device management (Intune).
  • Familiarity with Entra ID and CMMC 2.0 compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting, and Azure cloud services is a plus.
  • Background supporting AEC software and network licensing.
  • Broad IT knowledge with ability to jump between helpdesk and infrastructure tasks.
  • Ability support other Southern California offices, up to 20% travel.
