About this role
As a Public Relations Manager at Zendesk, you will be at the forefront of our strategic communications efforts, driving initiatives that enhance our brand reputation and establish our presence as an industry leader in AI-powered customer service solutions. This position focuses on crafting and executing innovative PR campaigns that not only secure influential media coverage but also engage diverse audiences through strategic storytelling.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to articulate Zendesk's vision and impact, ensuring that our narratives resonate powerfully within the marketplace.

What you’ll do
Design and implement comprehensive PR strategies that amplify Zendesk’s messaging and position us as a key player in the AI customer service landscape.
Build and nurture relationships with a diverse array of media professionals, influencers, and industry experts to create collaborative opportunities that enhance our visibility and storytelling capabilities.
Develop engaging multimedia content tailored for various platforms, including video, podcasts, and interactive articles, aimed at increasing audience engagement and understanding of Zendesk’s transformative impact.
Elevate executive presence by facilitating opportunities for leadership to share insights at industry events, conferences, and through exclusive media interviews, reinforcing our innovative stance in the market.
Lead proactive reputation management strategies, preparing the organization to respond effectively in high-stakes situations and safeguarding our brand integrity.
Analyze PR campaign performance metrics, leveraging data to refine strategies and maximize media engagement and audience reach.
Collaborate with the broader Communications team to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all public-facing channels, while also contributing to corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related fields, with a proven track record of securing influential media placements.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets across various platforms.
Excellent project management skills, with the capacity to juggle multiple PR initiatives and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
Strong writing and storytelling abilities, with experience in creating diverse content formats, including press releases, media kits, and executive statements.
Analytical mindset, with a background in measuring and reporting on PR effectiveness to inform ongoing strategy development.
Proactive and collaborative, with a willingness to engage in cross-disciplinary projects that span Analyst Relations, Internal Communications, and Corporate Social Responsibility as part of your career development.
Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
