This role will be crucial in managing the daily operations of our Dental Department, fostering an inclusive work environment, and supporting the growth and development of our staff.
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is thrilled to announce the opening of our new clinic in Astoria, OR, in December 2025! This new site will significantly enhance the health and well-being of our community by expanding our behavioral health services, including mental health therapy, and introducing new dental and pharmacy service lines, including a convenient drive-through pharmacy.

Position Highlights:
$34.09-$41.76/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
$5,000 Sign-on bonus in first paycheck & $2,000 bonus at 12 months of employment

Who We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a dental or healthcare setting
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of dental practices and procedures
What You’ll Do:
Coach, mentor, and train dental support staff. Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance or behavior issues.
Encourage and support staff in seeking educational opportunities and job-related training.
Oversee the recruitment and selection of dental support staff. Provide comprehensive orientation on job requirements, policies, and procedures.
Create and maintain a work environment that supports diverse ideas, backgrounds, and styles. Drive employee engagement and retention.
Plan and manage the daily functions of the Dental Department. Ensure efficient workflow and coverage for all support staff.
Manage Provider schedules to ensure guidelines are followed and daily targets are met.
Review and monitor various reports in the Epic system, including sliding fee eligibility and utilization.
Manage AIDET patient communication surveys, compile results, and implement improvements.
Handle all Release of Information requests and coordinate with Risk Management.
Prepare reports for leadership and ensure compliance with YVFWC policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED + 5 years of experience in a dental office (front or back) and/or front medical office OR
Bachelor’s Degree + 1 year of experience in a dental office (front or back) and/or front medical office OR
Associate’s Degree + 3 years of experience in a dental office (front or back) and/or front medical office
One year of supervisory experience is preferred
EFDA certification preferred within 90 days of hire
Dental Assisting National Board of Radiology Proficiency preferred
CPR Certification is required within 30 days of hire
