Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm offering civil site, structural, land surveying, and GIS services. Since its founding in 1996, our team has grown to over 150 team members with six locations. We operate in three states serving our six service lines - Infrastructure + Analytics, Site, Structures, Survey, Transportation, and Water Resources. We have office locations in Missouri – St. Louis and Jefferson City, Illinois – Collinsville and Effingham and Kentucky – Louisville and Prestonsburg.
We are looking for a Civil Engineer- Structural to support our CDI mission in Building Stronger Communities. By contributing to projects and engaging with the team, you will support our mission and developing a better tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing structural engineering projects by creating scope and budgets, directing the design, and coordinating work with other staff and design team members.
- Signing/sealing work as required.
- Analyzing and designing transportation-related structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structure foundations.
- Serving as a key point of contact with clients, contractors, and local officials.
- Displaying an eagerness to work on a wide variety of project types.
- Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
- Working collaboratively with the CDI Service Leader, Project Engineers, and other team members to develop effective solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with CDI's safety procedures.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Department of Transportation structures experience (bridges and walls) (MoDOT, IDOT or KYTC) preferred.
- Proficient with structural analysis and design software (Revit experience is a plus).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bridge and/or Building Structural design experience a plus.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Microstation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Missouri, Illinois or Kentucky EI, or ability to obtain is highly preferred.
- 0-10 years' experience.
This role can be based out of the Collinsville, IL or Louisville KY. The travel expected is up to 10%.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000-$120,000/year. Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
