Overview


The Production Lead plays an essential role in overseeing the operation of production lines to ensure quality, efficiency and safety. The production leader must have the ability to motivate employees as well as organizational skills and critical thinking to achieve department goals.


Responsibilities


  • Organizing and delegating tasks to production line workers
  • Inspecting products to ensure they meet company quality standards
  • Training new staff on production line procedures and safety protocols
  • Monitoring the production process and making necessary adjustments for efficiency
  • Ensuring all equipment is maintained and functioning properly
  • Implementing and upholding safety regulations and quality control measures
  • Reporting safety incidents in a prompt manner to the Plant Manager
  • Maintaining communication between management and production line workers
  • Managing the production schedule and meeting production targets
  • Reporting and resolving any issues or disruptions of the production process
  • Documenting production data and maintaining accurate records
  • Ordering supplies necessary for the production line
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications


  • Provide leadership and feedback to team members
  • Have a sense of urgency with ability to multitask
  • Reliable, dependable and punctual
  • Be able to lift to 50 pounds
  • Be able to use heavy tools and perform assemblies and or deconstructing assembled parts
  • Be able to understand/interpret written and verbal specifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Forklift experience (Preferred)

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Ability to use computers and use basic software
