Defects Analyst - Military veterans preferred

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Aircraft Defects Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our aircraft by identifying, analysing, and reporting defects. This position requires a strong understanding of aviation maintenance and engineering principles, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate operational aircraft defect reports, repetitive defects and maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to investigate defects and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records of defect analysis and resolution processes
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on defect trends, root causes, and recommendations for management
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company policies related to aircraft safety and maintenance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights based on defect analysis
• Participate in meetings and discussions with cross-functional teams to address defect-related issues
• Publish weekly/Monthly defect statistics for the DHK wide body fleet to the DHK executive team and stakeholders.

Requirements

• B1 or B2 Aircraft engineering licence or bachelor’s degree in aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering, or a similar role, preferably with B767 and B777 experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in using data analysis software and tools (e.g. Excel, databases, etc.)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
