Job Summary:

Provide Software Engineering support to Cyber Security Operations mission by designing and implementing prototype software applications using a variety of APIs, frameworks, and programming languages.  Support the Cyber analyst by providing software solutions that are required to support mission objectives. The ideal candidate would be a jack-of-all trades developer specializing in providing front-end analytic presentation solutions in Splunk.

Your Main Objective:

  • Develop solutions in support of Defensive Cybersecurity Operations.
  • Develop prototypes, answering new questions, as well as providing better answers to existing questions.
  • Work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated fast-paced environment using leading technologies.
  • Act as the development team’s primary point of contact for individual Cybersecurity missions as requested.  This position's primary support is to Blue Team missions with opportunities to support Red, Hunt and JCMA missions as required.
  • Provide mentorship to other developers and be open to learning techniques and tools from other developers.
  • Leverage skills to look for areas for process improvement and suggest solutions.
  • Secondary opportunity to support the Data Science team.

 Job Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Cybersecurity and software development with Python, Splunk with front end development using Angular JS, React JS. Experience with Gitlab and Atlassian Jira.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus eight (8) years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with six (6) years of relevant development experience. An associate’s degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED with twelve (12) years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this role.
  • Desirable Skills: Interfacing with Restful services, Java Scripting, Bash Scripting, Jenkins, Rancher/Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow and Data Science/Machine Learning.
