Physical Requirements
This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Also involves some risk of back injury from moving, lifting or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; and exposure to blood-borne or airborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, burns, and combative/violent people.
Shift
Position supports all UKSPIS Liver Progam out of Chandler and Good Samaritan Emergency Departments. This position is currently four 10 hour shifts, primarily first shift (7a-5:30p) with rotating evenings and weekends. Hours and days of the week subject to change based on the needs of the program.
Job Summary
This Specialty Pharmacy position will support the emergency department and other clinics in the management of patients requiring medications for the treatment of hepatitis and MASLD/MASH. Through implementation of best practice patient care management and individualized patient education based upon specialty pharmacy accreditation standards, the UK Specialty Pharmacy will standardize and create lean workflows, increase uptake for treatment, improve patient satisfaction, increase capture rate for therapies, and track outcomes of therapy. This position will provide a high-touch patient service while obtaining affordable and timely access to needed medications.

PharmD and ambulatory/retail pharmacy experience preferred.
