Fuller Psychological & Family Services Mandarin-speaking Assessment
Summary: Fuller Psychological & Family Services (FPFS) therapists provide thousands of hours of in-person therapy and assessment services each year to hundreds of clients in the Los Angeles area, and telehealth services to clients living throughout the state of California. Our trainees, postdoctoral fellows, and associates are closely trained by a network of licensed professionals to help ensure they operate in an effective, safe, and ethical manner. These unlicensed clinicians provide therapy services to individuals (children, adolescents, and adults), couples, groups, and families to address a variety of symptoms including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, guilt, and bereavement. Many FPFS clinicians are fluent in languages such as Korean, Mandarin, and Spanish, and many external organizations are willing to compensate Fuller for services (outside of normal practicum training) provided in these languages. This job position describes an opportunity for unlicensed FPFS PsyD and PhD trainees to provide assessment services to Mandarin-speaking residents at Sunflower Adult Day Health Care Center, located in Pasadena, CA. These services will be carried out by students as part of their clinical training in alignment with their clinical psychology program. In addition, students will be permitted to record and report these training hours using the procedures established by their Director of Clinical Training.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the FPFS Executive Director and Director of Training and clinical supervisors, the student clinician will:
