RSi is looking to fill an Aircraft Mechanic III position at Fort Moore, GA, to support our Army customer. You will be part of a robust team working to maintain the aircraft used by the Army Ranger School. This role is full-time, first shift (0700 - 1530), on our UH60 Program.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.
  • Be able to lead mechanics to complete maintenance tasks as assigned by Production Control
  • Be able to perform corrective counselling IAW RSi published policies and procedures.
  • Be able to enforce all maintenance practices, procedures, and policies with minimal guidance.
  • Be able to plan and execute a 30-calendar day PMI inspection. Complete applicable paperwork and report to Production Control daily on status of PMI
  • Fully understand Army supply system to order, review status, issue and turn-in common hardware, repair parts and components
  • Mechanic applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft Technical Manuals, Maintenance Information and Action Messages and all technical guidance provided through government official representatives.
  • Uses a working knowledge of technical publications and the Government STAMIS to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
  • Recommend adjustments to the assembly or productions process.
  • Measure products with calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Operate electronic inspections equipment and software.
  • Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned

This position is subject to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as well as a pre-employment physical.


Required Minimum Education/Experience/Certifications:

  • All maintenance personnel shall have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience with documented training on the MDS H60 series or have a current (valid) FAA A&P license and at least one (1) years of documented experience in general aviation.
  • Maintenance personnel assigned to any lead hourly position shall hold a current (valid) FAA A&P License to include a minimum of three (3) years maintenance experience, of which one (1) year shall be commensurate with position assigned with documented training.
  • High school graduate or GED.


Preferred Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/IT Skills/Certifications:

  • Knowledge of equipment related to individual requirements UH-60
  • Knowledge of military publications (including electronic manuals), drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams and schematics is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of military and/or company forms required by work specifications is a plus.


Work Environment: Aircraft areas/hangars, workshops, and other industrial settings.


Physical Requirements:

  • Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds. Most heavy lifting is accomplished using mechanical devices.


Other Essential Functions: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and exercise good judgement.


Security Clearance Requirement: N/A (Applicants for positions which require a US government security clearance must meet eligibility requirements to include US citizenship.)


This position requires FAA/DOT preemployment drug testing.
