Job Description:
Threat Tec is seeking an experienced Scheduler to manage and coordinate flight, simulator, and academic schedules at March ARB. The Scheduler will be responsible for updating and distributing weekly schedules, coordinating training and simulator availability, and liaising between operational squadrons and the FTU. This role requires attending relevant meetings, ensuring simulator readiness, and supporting training exercises. A Secret security clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly schedule via email to all permanent party, students, and applicable distribution lists, ensuring all personnel are informed of the upcoming training and operational events.
  • Schedule IRC (Initial Review Course) classes to align with training requirements and readiness.
  • Attend 163 ATKW Operations/Maintenance weekly meetings to stay updated on operational and maintenance needs affecting scheduling.
  • Coordinate scheduling with contract Joint Terminal Air Controllers (JTACs) for effective Close Air Support (CAS) training.
  • Coordinate Field Training Detachment (FTD) tours with the appropriate agencies to ensure timely scheduling and smooth execution.
  • Perform daily updates to the scheduling data to adjust for ongoing training conditions and requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between operational squadrons and the FTU by providing simulator and instructor/evaluator availability to squadron schedulers.
  • Build weekly flying schedules based on academic, simulator, and flying requirements and input the data into LMS/TMS, including personnel assignments.
  • Learn and integrate the new scheduling programs for the FTU, including LMS and TMS, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems.
  • Coordinate with simulator contractors to ensure simulator readiness for scheduled training.
  • Schedule OPS Simulators for 196 ATKS flyers, ensuring availability and readiness for training.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for TDY personnel, assisting with scheduling and coordination needs.
  • Coordinate necessary support requirements (e.g., JTACs) to facilitate desired training and ensure that training needs are met.
  • Attend weekly 196 ATKS scheduling meetings to provide updates, collaborate with other team members, and address any scheduling challenges.
  • Support unit involvement in exercise planning conferences and track the unit's participation in exercises as required.
  • Ensure that all scheduling activities are documented and tracked in accordance with unit and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in scheduling, particularly in military or aviation training environments, with knowledge of flying, simulator, and academic training scheduling.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate between various teams, contractors, and agencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and adjust in real time based on training needs and resource availability.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software such as LMS, TMS, or similar systems.
  • Experience in coordinating with external agencies, contractors, and personnel to ensure readiness and availability of training resources.
  • Security Clearance: Secret
