Job Description:
Threat Tec is seeking an experienced Scheduler to manage and maintain accurate and workable training schedules at Holloman AFB. The Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating flight, ground, and simulator training schedules, tracking daily requirements, and ensuring smooth coordination between various agencies for training and operational support. This position requires a Secret security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily scheduling duties as defined by unit requirements, ensuring all training and operational activities are properly scheduled.
  • Determine scheduling requirements for upgrade, initial qualification, re-qualification, transition, currency, and continuation training, based on syllabus needs, student progression, weather, equipment, range availability, and commander-directed programs.
  • Obtain simulator availability from 16 TRS and compile a daily scheduling requirement summary. Draft and publish long- and short-range ground, academic, flying, and simulator training schedules using PEX, TMS, LMS, and locally implemented database systems.
  • Track daily flight, ground, simulator, and academic training requirements and accomplishments.
  • Perform daily updates to scheduling data to adjust for ongoing conditions and training completion rates.
  • Attend special use airspace meetings as required to coordinate airspace requirements.
  • Review flow plans (takeoffs/arrivals) to de-conflict with 49 WG activities and ensure airspace compliance.
  • Distribute the daily schedule via email to permanent party members, students, and other applicable inboxes.
  • Correlate sortie length and airspace requirements with syllabus requirements to ensure accurate planning.
  • Accomplish weekly flying hour program updates to track and manage training hours.
  • Perform long-range scheduling duties as defined by unit requirements, ensuring future training needs are addressed.
  • Draft and publish long-range ground, academic, flying, and simulator training schedules on GTIMS and other locally implemented database systems.
  • Coordinate with 49 WG Plans, White Sands Missile Range, and Triad scheduling to facilitate exercise and special event coordination.
  • Attend 49 WG weekly flying, maintenance, and range scheduling meetings to support training operations.
  • Provide inputs to 49 OSS scheduling to assist in building the annual flying hour program in accordance with AFI 11-102.
  • Develop and maintain squadron-specific GTIMS reports to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Document and maintain records of all instructor qualification upgrades to track personnel readiness.
  • Set up and configure Unit Programmed Flight Training (PFT) classes, including inputting student names and applicable data.
  • Coordinate necessary support requirements (e.g., JTACs) to facilitate desired training events and ensure training objectives are met.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in scheduling, particularly in military or aviation training environments.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software such as PEX, TMS, LMS, GTIMS, or similar systems.
  • Ability to manage and track multiple training schedules simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate effectively with various agencies and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of military flight and training requirements, airspace coordination, and training flow.
  • Ability to adjust and update schedules in real-time to accommodate changing conditions.
  • Security Clearance: Secret
