Description:

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you'll be at the forefront of driving strategic HR initiatives and transforming organizational culture. You'll build and maintain collaborative relationships with leadership teams, acting as the single point of contact and trusted advisor and Human Resources partner supporting assigned client groups. Your expertise in HR Business Partner functions and understanding of centers of excellence will be crucial as you lead workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. The ability to utilize data to make informed decisions and coaching management through change and transformation is a critical part of this role.

You’ll have significant involvement in project and program management, ensuring that HR solutions align with business goals. You'll provide guidance on performance management, employee relations, and career development, helping leaders identify high-potential employees and design succession plans. Your ability to navigate complex HR issues and deliver proactive solutions will be key to minimizing turnover and maximizing retention. This position can be on-site in Yakima, Washington, or remote only if residing in Washington State or Oregon (please note in WA State we are not able to have remote employees who reside in the city of Seattle). If you're located outside the WA/OR area but are open to relocating we can provide relocation allowance if hired.

Position Highlights

  • $77,000 - $114,000 salary depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other relevant field. Additional years of relevant HRBP work experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis. A Master's Degree in a relevant field can substitute for 2 years of the required HRBP work experience.
    • With a Master's Degree, at least 3 years of professional HR Business Partner work experience.
    • With a Bachelor's Degree, at least 5 years of professional HR Business Partner work experience.
    • With an Associate's Degree, at least 7 years of professional HR Business Partner work experience.
    • With a High School Diploma/GED, at least 9 years of professional HR Business Partner work experience.
  • Relevant work experience must be in HR Business Partner functions such as resolving complex employee relations issues, project management, collaborating with all members of an HR team to ensure the team’s overall goals are met, and managing and leading clients through significant change.
  • Of total years of HRBP work experience, at least 2 years must include managing projects and HR programs for an organization.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is preferred but not required.
  • HRBP experience in a healthcare setting is highly desired, but not required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of HR and employment laws and compliance.
  • Advanced knowledge of training, employee relations, coaching, diversity, equity and inclusion, performance management, conflict resolution, and HR metrics.
  • Knowledge of change management, compensation practices, project management, and organizational development.
  • Ability to balance strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Possess business acumen and able to understand the general operations of client groups.
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships to gain trust and establish credibility at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and work successfully with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills, analytical, and decision making skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion.
  • Advanced proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
