Job Summary:
The Business Development Coordinator will provide administrative support for the business development team and will assist with qualifying and generating leads. This role involves conducting market research, coordinating business development activities, managing the Ballard trade show program, assisting with the TCG business development program, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful task and project execution.
This is a temporary position with the possibility to become full-time.

Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
Experience:
· Two years’ professional experience in business development within an A/E/C firm.
· Experience with a CRM Database, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.

Responsibilities:
· Search daily leads and market activity to position Ballard for strategic opportunities in the specialty underwater and marine construction industry.
· Coordinate with private and public agencies that issue solicitations and organize industry events to ensure that all documents are obtained, and meetings are coordinated to ensure proper project pursuit.
· Conduct targeted market research to support Ballard’s Business Development efforts and to identify new business development opportunities.
· Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers via email, phone, and in-person to support project pursuits and industry events.
· Provide administrative support for the Business Development team such as scheduling meetings, taking and communicating notes from meetings, organizing events, etc. as needed.
· Assist with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients.
· Facilitate Ballard and TCG’s tradeshow program. Includes facilitating logistics, managing budget, scheduling preshow preparation meetings, conducting preshow client reach outs and scheduling meetings, and after show follow up including working with the trade show team to capture all notes, Contacts, and Accounts.
· Support tracking of expenses and budget for the Business Development Department.
· Write and distribute agendas, proposals, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings.
· Update and maintain client, Lead, Oppy, and project data in the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management database (CRM). Work to become a “super” user/SME.
· Inform executive management of conditions, activities, and trends including customer or prospect changes, technical developments, market dynamics, and competitive strategies.
· Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands Working Environment:
· Work is primarily performed in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· May visit project sites and be able to work in varied weather conditions and in a construction environment, around equipment/machinery.
· Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.

Salary Range:
· $25-$30/hr
· Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
