Position Summary:

Arkansas State University (A-State) is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing and Outreach Coordinator to lead recruitment efforts targeting students from two-year colleges and high schools for enrollment in the College of Agriculture's Food Science program and the College of Engineering and Computer Science's Engineering Technology program. This role will focus on building relationships, developing targeted marketing campaigns, and engaging prospective students through innovative outreach strategies. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a passion for education and experience in marketing or recruitment.

This is a grant funded position starting July 1, 2025, through February 28, 2027.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Strategy Development: Design and implement marketing and outreach plans to attract students from two-year colleges and high schools into four-year programs, emphasizing transfer pathways and career opportunities. The coordinator will be the lead and point of contact for recruitment and outreach as part of a team that will include one instructor in the College of Engineering and Computer Science and another instructor in the College of Agriculture.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with community college advisors, high school counselors, and other key stakeholders to promote program awareness and facilitate student transitions.
  • Campaign Creation: Coordinate the development of compelling digital and print marketing materials (e.g., brochures, social media content, email campaigns, videos) tailored to the interests and needs of target audiences.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute recruitment events such as college fairs, campus visits, virtual info sessions, and workshops for prospective students and their families. •
  • Outreach Execution: Conduct presentations and one-on-one advising sessions at high schools and two-year colleges to highlight the benefits of transitioning to a four-year program.
  • Data Tracking & Analysis: Monitor recruitment metrics, assess campaign effectiveness, and adjust strategies to meet enrollment goals. • Collaboration: Work closely with the admissions team, faculty, and alumni to ensure consistent messaging and leverage success stories in outreach efforts.
  • Student Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for prospective students, providing guidance on application processes, financial aid, and program benefits.

This position will report to the Executive Director of the Delta Center for Economic Development and works cooperatively with faculty in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, and the College of Agriculture. The deans of both colleges will have input on the annual review.

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

Regular and reliable attendance is expected
Some travel will be required

An earned bachelor's degree (required)
