Monadnock Family Services (MFS) is looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) with healthcare management experience to join our Executive Team. MFS is a non-profit Certified Community Mental Health Center serving the Monadnock region in southwestern New Hampshire. In collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO will be responsible for leading the short- and long-term strategic direction of our organization, and for optimizing effective and efficient delivery of safe and high-quality healthcare. The COO will oversee the programmatic and regulatory aspects of all services, as to maintain compliance with appropriate local, state and federal regulations and statutes and keeping with ethical and effective interventions. The COO has shared-responsibility with the Executive Team to maintain optimal strategic positioning and financial sustainability of the organization. The COO will be working with the Executive Team to ensure that our operations drive forward the mission, goals, vision, and sustainability of MFS. Success in this position requires a results-driven approach; effective use of Lean Sigma Six, Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), or similar lean and high quality practice management expertise; familiarity with electronic health record informatics and data analysis; and strong leadership skills. The COO will actively engage with other community agencies, stakeholders, and individual relationships to promote the agency's presence and involvement in the community.


Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the unique needs of mental healthcare programs
  • Understanding of the financial and workforce challenges that healthcare organizations face
  • Demonstrated success in strategic development and leading improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills at all organizational levels
  • Complex problem-solving skills in individual and group settings
  • Ability to work with staff to promote competency and retention
  • Experience with electronic health record informatics and data analysis
  • Ability to learn complex payment systems and models of reimbursement
  • Proficiency in Lean Sigma Six, EOS, or similar framework
  • Familiarity with lean management
  • At least 8 years of senior level supervisory experience in organizational operations and financial management
  • Bachelor's degree in business or relevant field
  • Master's degree in public health, health administration, business administration or equivalent
