Description:
BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as an Associate Procurement & Contract Specialist, Procurement & Contract Specialist or Sr Procurement & Contract Specialist at our Cove Point location in Lusby, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Source materials, equipment and services through the RFP process, including bidding and contract execution.
- Identify potential suppliers.
- Solicit quotes and technical documentation from suppliers.
- Negotiate awards and implement contracts and purchase orders.
- Resolve problems regarding material delivery, price discrepancies, quality issues, invoice discrepancies, and/or adjustments.
- Analyze supplier proposals for price, performance, capability, quality, delivery, compliance with order terms, and consistency with sourcing strategy.
- Support identification and implementation of cost improvements for purchased materials and services.
- Work with the business unit on scope documentation and bidding strategies.
- Prioritize requisitions to ensure equipment, material and services are obtained in a timely fashion with emphasis on quality, cost and availability.
- Adhere to procurement policy and procedures.
Qualifications: Associate Procurement & Contract Specialist: 0-2 years' related experience.
General knowledge of business and contract law.
General knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
General knowledge of materials and services delivery fulfillment processes.
Good verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
Knowledge of materials and services delivery fulfillment processes.
