POSITION SUMMARY

MELE Associates is seeking a Fleet Manager to work with DOE/NNSA fleet managers to ensure the proper allocation of vehicles for NEST use. They are responsible for working with GSA/GSA regions to ensure maintenance, compliance with regulations, reporting and fleet optimization for DOE/NNSA purchased vehicles, GSA lease or other leasing options for government vehicles. They are also the lead in developing strategic planning, and coordination of all activities related to the NEST fleet including assisting with budget requirements. They are also responsible for managing vehicle inventory, updating/coordinating vehicle life cycle and replacement, and monitoring the overall vehicle fleet.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Providing the leasing/purchasing requirements to DOE/NNSA.
• Developing overall requirements and justification for the NEST vehicle inventory.
• Coordinating and maintaining vehicles for acceptance/pick-up, return and/or exchange in coordination with NA-MA
• Assisting with registering and licensing vehicles with GSA and GSA tracking
• Assisting with the procurement of emergency lights/sirens.
• Overseeing routine maintenance on vehicles and implementing preventative maintenance strategies to maximize the life of the fleet.
• Ensuring sufficient shop space and tools are available to safely execute maintenance functions.
• Assisting with the purchasing/leasing new vehicles for the fleet as needed within budget constraints.
• Providing appropriate training/oversight for use and operations of vehicles
• Coordination with DOE/NNSA/GSA fleet managers to provide reporting requirements.
• Develop budgetary requirements for the NEST fleet.
• Assuring vehicles meet legal requirements for federal and state laws.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years of specific experience managing fleet
• Experience with working with GSA
• This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top-Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.

LOCATION: This is an On-Site position in Albuquerque, NM.

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
