Louisiana Recycled Aggregates is a South Louisiana based producer of construction aggregate materials located in Geismar, LA. We are seeking to hire a Wash Crew Laborer to clean and maintain the sites heavy equipment & other assets.

- Operate heavy machinery such as loaders to move and load materials efficiently.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate material movement and placement.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company guidelines at all times.
- Load and unload materials from various transportation methods, including trucks and trailers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment around loading areas.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
- Assist in the training of new loader operators on safety practices and operational procedures.
- Adjust machine settings to accommodate different materials and loading conditions.
- Complete log sheets and other documentation related to equipment usage and material movement.
- Communicate effectively with ground workers and other operators to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Loader Operator or similar role.
- Valid driver's license and relevant operator certifications.
- Proficient in operating various types of loader equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Basic mechanical skills for routine equipment maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy equipment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites including extreme weather conditions that include but are not limited to high heat and humidity, cold, ice, snow, & rain. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. The position works on wet, slippery conditions that requires coordination and use of all limbs to maintain contact with equipment while walking & climbing on to reach areas needing to be cleaned.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee works from platforms at height. The employee walks and works on unlevel, steep, slippery, wet, muddy, & inconsistent ground. The employee must have excellent stamina.
