Job Summary:

The Commercial Relationship Manager I (CRM I) will originate and service commercial banking relationships of mild complexity, typically loan relationships that are between $3,000,000 to $10,000,000, with an overall loan portfolio of less than $75,000,000. The CRM I will also assist the Sr. Commercial Relationship Managers in managing and servicing their more complex customer base.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Manages an individual commercial loan portfolio that is typically less than $75MM. Portfolio management duties include:
    1. Maintaining accurate and updated borrower and guarantor financial records as required
    2. Assuring loan covenants are addressed and/or measured in the required time frame
    3. Escalating elevated risk situations promptly and in accordance with documented policies and procedures
    4. Providing exemplary service to all clients served
  • New Business Development: Proactively develops new business by:
    1. Calling on existing clients, prospects, and centers of influence in an effort to grow loan portfolio and targeted customer base
    2. Seeking and referring new business opportunities to the bank's Consumer and Wealth Management Divisions
  • Bank & Professional Development: Pursues bank and professional development opportunities by engaging in the following:
    1. Continuing to develop a technical skill set by enrolling in internal and external commercial banking coursework
    2. Attending joint calls with more senior commercial lenders and managers to further evolve interpersonal and relationship building skills
    3. Building productive relationships with associated commercial support team (i.e., Commercial Credit, Operations, Legal, etc.)
  • Maintains compliance with external regulations and internal Commercial loan policies & guidelines and completes all required regulatory training as assigned and by the prescribed due date(s).
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

  • College degree in related field preferred
  • At least two years of Commercial Banking experience and/or similar years of experience as a credit analyst
  • Prior experience with exposure to commercial lending and contact with customers and/or prospects preferred
  • Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Strong credit analysis techniques
  • Strong loan evaluation skills
  • Loan documentation knowledge
  • Knowledge of bank regulations

Hiring Salary Range

The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: $86,000 - $102,000
