Job Description:
Threat Tec is seeking an experienced Scheduler to support flight operations at Creech AFB. The Scheduler will be responsible for building and updating weekly schedules for flying, simulators, and academic training, coordinating airspace requirements, and ensuring compliance with airspace policies. The position requires regular attendance at scheduling and coordination meetings, and close collaboration with maintenance, planning, and operations teams. This role requires a Secret security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the weekly flying schedule shell based on aircraft availability and update the daily flying schedule accordingly.
  • Build and update the weekly MQ-9 Simulator schedule, ensuring proper allocation of simulator time for training.
  • Update the weekly academic schedule, including IRC (Initial Review Course) requirements, to align with training objectives.
  • Attend Special Use Airspace scheduling meetings every Tuesday at Nellis AFB (half day) and the Planning/Coordinating Airspace Restrictions meeting on Tuesdays. Attend monthly range scheduling meetings at Nellis, reviewing flow-plans and ensuring schedules comply with airspace policies and rules.
  • Update the daily Supervisor of Flying (SOF) and Top 3 schedule and the Airspace Flow Management Plan to ensure smooth operations.
  • Track and update unit involvement in exercises such as Red Flag and Air Warrior, ensuring that required training events are accurately scheduled.
  • Attend weekly maintenance and scheduling meetings to stay updated on training and operational requirements.
  • Update the weekly flying hour program and correlate sortie length and airspace requirements with syllabus requirements to ensure accurate planning.
  • Coordinate support requirements (e.g., JTACs) necessary to facilitate desired training objectives and ensure resources are available.
  • Ensure the daily and weekly schedules are up-to-date and accurately reflect mission requirements and airspace availability.

Qualifications

  • Experience in scheduling within a military or aviation training environment, with familiarity in managing flying, simulator, and academic training schedules.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments and teams, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Ability to attend and contribute to airspace and scheduling meetings, offering insights and updates for airspace compliance and coordination.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software or database management systems, with the ability to track and update training schedules in real time.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adjust schedules quickly as operational needs change.
  • Security Clearance: Secret
