Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Equipment Coordinator in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for loading, unloading, receiving/releasing all rental equipment and attachments. This position maintains the rental yard for easy access, directs the delivery of new equipment and returns, and inspects/reports equipment condition before and after utilization. Additional responsibilities include conducting basic machine demonstrations and safely operating equipment for loading and unloading. We're seeking candidates with seated forklift and construction equipment operating experience. Must work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.

Requirements for the Equipment Coordinator position include:

• Self-starter able to promote a strong team environment. Must maintain a positive attitude and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Able to prioritize tasks and pay close attention to details.
• Ability to maintain service and safety records for cranes, sweepers, and forklifts.
• Must be able to perform yard/grounds maintenance.
• Able to maintain organization and order while multi-tasking.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to work overtime as required by job and customer demand.

Physical requirements must be met for the Equipment Coordinator job, including the ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 50 pounds, including bulky objects. This position requires repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment. Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dampness and humidity. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
