The College of Professional Studies (CPS) at Villanova University invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Practice, with a specialization in Project Management. Secondary areas of expertise aligned with the following areas are also particularly desirable: Agile and Lean Methodologies, Operations Management, Six Sigma, Information Technology Management, Risk Management, Performance Management, and/or Human Resources. The intended start date for this position is Fall 2025. We seek candidates who have strong experience with professional education, in serving adult students, in developing and delivering skills-based education, and in online modes of delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead Project Management academic programming for College of Professional Studies. Oversee curriculum development and assessment, in partnership with faculty and staff.
  • Teach and design courses in the College of Professional Studies’ Project Management Professional Education certificate program. Teach an undergraduate Project Management course for degree-seeking students. Teach both credit- and non-credit-bearing courses in other areas aligned with successful candidate’s area of expertise.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Project Management, Business, or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or plan to earn within six months of hire)
  • Other industry-recognized certifications in Project Management and/or Information Technology
  • Industry experience in Project Management
  • Previous online teaching and/or course design experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in adjacent area of expertise
  • Agile certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • IT certifications such as Network +, Security +
  • Workplace training experience
