The Role

Looking for 1st shift hours Monday-Friday? We are hiring a full-time Cleaner (shift 4am-12:30pm) at our San Diego facility! Starting pay at $17.35 per hour plus a competitive benefits package!
The Cleaner is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. 


WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Monitor and inspect assigned work area while performing duties and after duties have been completed to verify that all work has been done in compliance with site-specific procedures, scope of work, and Servicon standards.
  • Participate in training programs covering subjects such as safety regulations, procedures, efficient/cost-effective methods of cleaning, and equipment preventive maintenance.
  • Empty, clean, and damp wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove wastepaper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
  • Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas in offices, lobbies, and corridors.
  • Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
  • Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
  • Sweep, dust mop and damp-mop or clean any spillage in the office, stairwells, and public areas as required.
  • Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.  

What It Takes To Be Successful
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Experience in custodial cleaning or equivalent
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish fluency (read/verbal)
  • Interpersonal communication skills 
  • Problem solving and time management skills

Covid-19 vaccination requirements may vary by client site.

 

Environment

Environment may also include manufacturing, laboratories, offices, cleanrooms, offices and production areas, interacting with employees and clients throughout the job site. May require long periods of walking, standing, sitting, climbing, bending, reaching, stretching, leaning, stooping, and crawling, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, may require occasional travel to company job sites, the corporate office, Carson Warehouse or other locations for meetings or projects.
