The Company’s key products and services include design, development, manufacture and support of highly engineered mechanical actuation and components for fixed wing and rotary commercial and military aircraft and military systems.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Analyst to join our team in Windsor, CT. The Production Planner will work under the general direction of the Materials Manager with minimal supervision. This role is responsible for coordinating material management activities across key programs, resolving complex planning issues, and ensuring the smooth execution of production schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of the materials and processes involved in the design, marketing, sales, manufacturing, and distribution of products.

  • Raise purchase requisitions and work orders to ensure timely placement and delivery of components in line with production planning requirements.

  • Process MRP exception messages to meet production planning requirements.

  • Perform weekly cycle counts to achieve 99% or greater inventory accuracy.

  • Collaborate with Program Management and Contracts to understand demand forecast drivers.

  • Use and maintain MRP data as the primary planning tool.

  • Provide input for developing departmental strategies related to inventory of existing items, new product introductions, and phase-outs.

  • Perform related inventory transactions in the ERP system.

  • Create statistical reports by gathering, analyzing, and validating data, and share the results with relevant departments and external suppliers.

  • Work with demand and forecasting teams to incorporate accurate and current information.

  • Provide the Supply Chain team with the necessary information to enable Purchasing to meet demand.

  • Execute effectively in stock and demand replenishment, and provide feedback to the Supply Chain team on risks related to replenishment levels and demand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Technical, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in a planning/scheduling role within a manufacturing environment. Aerospace experience preferred.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office competencies.
  • Experience in statistical reporting, forecasting, and understanding of financial and operational impacts of forecasting.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Process/Supplier Interface/Purchase Order Placement.
  • Understanding of Business Terms and Conditions.
  • Strong Business Writing and Communication Skills.
  • JDE Experience a plus
  • Technical Aptitude/Experience a plus.
