Job Description:
Threat Tec is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Squadron Operations Support Specialist to provide critical administrative and operational support at March ARB and Hancock Field ANGB. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing administrative duties, managing squadron operations data, and supporting various departments such as Training, Standardization/Evaluation, and Scheduling. This role requires a Secret security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Use Microsoft Office suite, government-provided software, and commercial-off-the-shelf software to perform administrative duties within squadron operations.
- Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for Training, Standardization/Evaluation, and Scheduling shops.
- Provide administrative support by filing, tracking, preparing, and reviewing various forms, letters, certificates, and folders (e.g., Form 8’s, Flight Evaluation Folders, manned flight training documents, flight authorization forms, FAA Certificates, Letters of Agreement, Letters of Xs, and Training Folders).
- Ensure all required flying files, materials, and physical products are up to date, available to aircrews, and properly signed off prior to flight (e.g., Flight Crew Information Files, briefing room materials, aeronautical charts, frequency cards).
- Ensure that all slides required for the Daily Flight Brief are up to date, available to aircrews, and signed off prior to flight. Examples include weather and Intelligence threat slides.
- Ensure squadron publications are up to date and implement processes to ensure aircrew technical manuals, checklists, and Inflight Guides remain current.
- Manage all electronic data and ensure it is properly filed, secured, and organized.
- Monitor aircrew progress to ensure all training requirements are properly scheduled and accomplished (e.g., pre-requisites, RAP, scheduling, exams, and flight evaluations).
- Coordinate requirements with affected functions (e.g., range control for test operations) to ensure the effectiveness of daily and weekly schedules.
- Ensure that aircrew indoctrination and out-processing are properly prepared and documented.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in administrative support, ideally within military or aviation environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other related software applications.
- Ability to manage and maintain electronic and physical files securely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, documents, and schedules.
- Ability to work effectively with various teams to coordinate aircrew training, evaluations, and schedules.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure that all materials are accurate and up to date.
- Security Clearance: Secret
