Job Summary
The System Administrator is responsible for the configuration, deployment, security, and management of desktop computers, mobile devices, and IT systems within the department. This role focuses on Windows, Mac and other mobile environments, ensuring secure and efficient operations through the use of modern management tools. The System Administrator supervises Help Desk staff, ensuring timely and professional response to incoming service requests. Additionally, the System Administrator is responsible for the design and implementation of Microsoft 365 tools to enhance departmental functions.
Must adhere to all UK, SEC & NCAA rules and regulations.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- 5-10 years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh and mobile devices in a large, multi-site environment.
- 3-5 years of experience in workstation design, configuration and deployment using automation and scripting tools.
- Proficiency with Group Policy, PDQ Inventory/Deploy, and JAMF administration.
- 3-5 years of experience using and supporting Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI, and OneDrive.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose hardware, software, and network issues.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? YesPreferred Education/Experience
- Certifications such as JAMF 200 or higher, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or CompTIA A+/Security+.
- Experience scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
- Familiarity with IT asset management and software licensing practices.
