In Australia, we operate a select, highly skilled, internationally diverse engineering team, providing engineering and design advisory services to Australia's naval programs, and maritime autonomy system development. Our team holds expertise across naval architecture, marine engineering, systems engineering, integrated logistics support, engineering consulting and acquisition program management. 

We are seeking a Test and Evaluation Engineer for a fixed term 6 month contract.

The position will include the following responsibilities: 

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute comprehensive test and evaluation activities across the system lifecycle – from development to sea trails and operational acceptance.

  • Document any failures and non-conformances during the validation phase of the project and coordinate remediation plans to meet the specified requirements;

  • Plan and deliver engineering services, regulatory compliance, resource management, and project outcomes;

  • Conduct and/or assist risk assessments including, the identification and tracking of major risks;

  • Conduct reviews of contract deliverables;

  • Manage asset and data handover to end users; and

  • Manage and/or conduct transition activities to allow closure of the project.

  • Ad hoc tasking as required.

Qualifications 

The position requires the following high-level attributes:????????? 

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, electrical, systems, or related discipline)

  • At least 7 years demonstrated experience in test and evaluation within a maritime sector

  •  Familiarity with maritime acquisition processes and verification frameworks

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and technical writing skills

Additional Information

  • The successful applicant is required to hold a valid NV1 security clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid security clearance as well as other mandatory background checks including a National Police check.
