In Australia, we operate a select, highly skilled, internationally diverse engineering team, providing engineering and design advisory services to Australia's naval programs, and maritime autonomy system development. Our team holds expertise across naval architecture, marine engineering, systems engineering, integrated logistics support, engineering consulting and acquisition program management. 
We are seeking a Principal Cyber Security Advisor to work within an acquisition project. 


Job Description 


The position will include the following responsibilities: 
•    Lead the design, implementation, and assurance of cyber-resilient architecture for complex maritime platforms
•    Provide technical leadership across cyber risk assessments and threat mitigation strategies, tailored for naval operational environments. 
•    Collaborate with stakeholders across a range of areas to ensure cybersecurity is embedded in all stages of system design, integration, and sustainment. 
•    Undertake research and data analysis and contribute to the design and development of cyber security solutions to support the project and future capability of a maritime project;
•    Undertake cyber security awareness and education activities to help integrate cyber security good practices into the Project;
•    Assess and evaluate cyber security threats against agreed plans and implement strategies to achieve project outcomes;
•    Initiate resolution of cyber security issues by identifying and developing solutions through analysis of alternative courses of action and their implications;
•    Plan and deliver engineering services, regulatory compliance, resource management, and project outcomes; and
•    Interpret and ensure compliance with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
•    Ad hoc tasking as required.


Qualifications 


The position requires the following high-level attributes:????????? 
•    Extensive experience in cybersecurity (10+ years preferred) with a focus on critical infrastructure or maritime systems
•    Degree qualified in Cybersecurity or engineering
•    Understanding of maritime operational environments, including secure communications, shipboard networks, and platform-specific constraints. 
•    Risk assessment and threat modelling experience
•    Knowledge and understanding of ANP4605 – Navy Cyberworthiness

Additional Information
The successful applicant is required to hold a valid NV1 security clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid security clearance as well as other mandatory background checks including a National Police check.
