Description
This position is for a software engineer/developer for a technical development program supporting the Sponsor’s Web-based applications. The software engineer/developer will work with a large team of developers, DevOPS engineers, database administrators, security engineers, and data engineers. This engineer/developer will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the software development life cycle to include front-end UI development as well as backend work such as working with web services and APIs. Additional responsibilities include requirements analysis, coding and integration/implementation, participating in peer reviews of coding, system testing, and documentation generation and support as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, and must be able to communicate effectively and work in a well-established, collaborative team environment. This includes being experienced in recommending sound technical solutions as well as reviewing and critiquing proposed technical solutions. Ability to self-motivate is a must.
The software engineer/developer will be required to carry a duty phone on a rotational basis (once they have one year of experience on the team), and may need to come in to address system issues that arise. Core business hours are typically from 9 AM – 3 PM, five days a week. Hours can be flexible for either early arrivals, and/or late departures.
