Job Summary
The Office of Sponsored Projects Administration (OSPA) is seeking a Research Administrative Coordinator.

This position plays a vital role in supervising and managing administrative staff and processes, including, but not limited to …
  • managing the department budget
  • developing performance metrics and implementing efficiencies
  • serving as subject matter expert on all aspects of administrative tasks
  • managing and coordinating the development and update of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • managing and coordinating the non-financial aspects of the sponsored project account closeout process
  • overseeing the collection, organization, and storage of all project files and documentation related to sponsored projects (which are primarily electronic records), ensuring e-files contain necessary supporting documents

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative environment.

The Department
OSPA is responsible for administering over $480 million in extramural grants and contracts awarded through the University of Kentucky Research Foundation. Services are available to all University faculty and staff and include: advice and assistance with budget preparation and other administrative requirements of proposals; proposal submission; review, negotiation and acceptance of awards; interpretation and information regarding sponsor policies and regulations; preparation of subcontract documents; administration of UK’s Conflict of Interest Policy.
