BRG is seeking a Senior Workday Solutions Engineer to join our Data & Business Solutions team, a small, highly dynamic, and entrepreneurial team within BRGs finance and accounting organization. The role will be cross-functional and interact with members within the finance, accounting, information technology, operations, and legal departments. The Workday Solutions Engineer will collaborate closely with members of the IT and Finance departments to design and implement Workday apps, integrations, and other solutions. Candidates wishing to be based in a BRG office will benefit by working from Emeryville, Chicago, Dallas or Washington, DC. BRG also welcomes candidates who wish to work remotely, with the expectation that the candidate can travel to an onsite office occasionally (anticipated 2-6 times per year).
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships: Establish and maintain robust partnerships with teams within Accounting (General Ledger, Subcontractors, Billing, Matter Intake, Accounts Payable, etc.), acting as a trusted advisor.
- Develop a deep understanding: Achieve a comprehensive understanding of partner teams' processes and objectives to drive strategic initiatives.
- Design and architect solutions: Lead the design and architecture of complex solutions to business problems, leveraging Workday and other enterprise applications (Microsoft).
- Design and build new solutions: Innovate and develop new Extend apps, Prism datasets, integrations, reports, and other Workday solutions, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Maintain and enhance: Oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and continuous improvement of existing Workday Extend apps and Prism datasets.
- Technical documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for Workday apps and integrations, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Learn business processes: Master various business processes and cross-functional workflows to define system requirements, write specifications, and execute solutions with a strategic approach.
- Continuous improvement: Proactively seek ways to improve, automate, and scale current processes, driving innovation and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar quantitative field.
- 4+ years experience with Workday security model, business processes, and reporting.
- 4+ years experience with Workday Extend, or equivalent application development framework.
- Direct, hands-on experience with Workday APIs (REST and SOAP).
- Research or work experience solving technical/analytical problems.
- Demonstrated technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn, with initiative to partner collaboratively across the organization.
Useful (Nice to have):
- Experience with Workday Studio, or equivalent integration technology.
- Experience with Workday Prism.
Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.
Salary Range: $110,000-$150,000
