The Senior Survey Project Manager is a key leadership role responsible for managing a team of project managers, overseeing large-scale and complex land survey projects, and collaborating with Market Leads and senior leadership to grow market presence. This individual serves as a subject matter expert within the surveying discipline and plays a vital role in strategic planning, client engagement, and operational efficiency.
Lead and manage multiple project managers and their teams across large-scale land survey projects
Develop project work plans, define staffing needs, and allocate resources to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
Oversee the preparation of scopes of work, budgets, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures
Implement and refine systems and operational procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency
Analyze performance metrics including financial data, budgets, and activity reports to evaluate progress toward goals
Mentor and develop professional staff to support growth, performance, and retention
Prepare RFQs (Requests for Qualifications) and fee proposals in support of business development efforts
Collaborate with Market Leads and Market Managers to formulate strategies for expanding the customer base and increasing market share
Deliver compelling presentations to clients and stakeholders to communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes
Maintain effective relationships with sub-consultants and other key business partners
Provide cross-functional support to other operational units as needed
Represent the company at industry meetings, conferences, and trade shows to strengthen visibility and foster relationships
