Manager - Grants & Contracts



This position will manage a team of post award administrations and supervise their grant related duties. This position will oversee financial activities and account reconciliations for their team and will also serve as the main contact for the divisions their staff represent for all post award related matters.


Job Summary

Manages grant administration duties and supports all related operations to ensure resources are properly allocated to support research needs. Oversees financial activities and account reconciliations. Serves as primary contact for all grant and contract issues.


Essential Functions
  • Direct supervision of team of 5 post-award administrators, including hiring, performance reviews, and documenting disciplinary actions and other human resource administration;
  • manages work schedules and approves timecards;
  • provides professional development opportunities;
  • distributes and reviews work.
  • Post-award management and administration of complex grants, contracts and clinical trials for team.
  • Continuing review and development of training program to acclimate new hires to department.
  • Analyzes and projects financial data to examine trends.

Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
