Responsibilities

The Assembler, Warehousing is responsible for assembling off-road vehicles, motorcycles, and snowmobiles as they are shipped from the factory. This includes installation of roll cages, seats, dash boards, electronics, roofs, etc. This position may include occasional forklift operation.

  • Utilize a variety of power tools, wrenches, and hand tools to assemble vehicles in a warehouse facility.
  • Perform installation of many vehicle parts at a high-quality standard.
  • Learn job-related material regarding the care, service, maintenance, and repair of motorized equipment and vehicles through on-the-job training.
  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, or delivery vehicles or containers by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
  • Complete work orders as assigned while prioritizing based on business needs.
  • Maintain tools, workplaces, and move chemicals and/or waste within the shop and maintain chemical storage areas in a clean, orderly manner.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Work in a team environment to accomplish work assignments.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Prior mechanical/assembly experience preferred.
  • Experience working with power tools, wrenches, etc.
  • Attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
  • Excellent communication to manager, teammates, customers.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide occasional customer service.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence.
  • Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
  • Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment.
  • Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

SUPERVISION

The position functions with supervision and has no direct reports.  

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience.  However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

 

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

None required. Forklift certification is preferred.
