Job Description

About Us

EagleView® is a leading provider of aerial imagery, property insights and software that transforms the way people work. EagleView holds more than 300 patents and owns a large geospatial data and imagery library encompassing 94 percent of the US population. EagleView provides the most accurate data, enabling customers in the government, construction, solar and insurance industries to make timely, informed and better decisions.

Overview

EagleView, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring a Data Modeler in the Analytics & Intelligence team within the Operations Center of Excellence. This role will serve as a key member of the team, bringing structure and usability to the Operations data environment and enabling our “AI first” philosophy.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models that support key data initiatives and analytics capabilities within the Operations department. These data models will also serve as the foundation for AI data pipelines, ensuring data is structured in ways that optimize training, inferencing, and reporting.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, data architects and engineers to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality data structures. While the primary focus of this role is within Operations, you will also work collaboratively with other departments within EagleView to support organizational data needs.

The ideal candidate will excel in two key areas:
1) Understanding and documenting detailed business processes, identifying meaningful KPIs, and recognizing how data supports business objectives.
2) Performing thorough data discovery, reverse engineering complex structures, and transforming inconsistent data into clean, scalable models that power reporting, analytics, and data-driven applications including ML and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Attain deep knowledge of EagleView systems, applications, processes, and workflows to understand the data and analytical needs of the organization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to document and analyze business processes, workflows, and requirements.
  • Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with business objectives.
  • Effectively translate business needs into data structures.
  • Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models across various systems and applications.
  • Define data entities, attributes, relationships, keys, and constraints.
  • Define and document data definitions, metadata, business rules, and data lineage.
  • Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and ease of maintenance, particularly for ML and AI use.
  • Participate in data quality and integrity initiatives by ensuring models support accurate and consistent reporting.
  • Support database design, data warehousing, and data integration initiatives.
  • Ensure data models adhere to enterprise standards, governance policies, and best practices.
  • Provide impact analysis and documentation for data model changes.
  • Provide reporting and analytical support, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, or data management.
  • Strong understanding of relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data modeling concepts.
  • Experience working with SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake).
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts.
  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including business stakeholders, technical teams and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to dissect complicated business processes and integrate legacy and modern data sources to create usable data sets.

Preferred

  • Proven ability to perform data profiling, source-to-target mapping, and schema discovery in the absence of reliable documentation.
  • Experience designing data models that support AI data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and star/snowflake schemas.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
  • Experience in industries with high data complexity (healthcare, financial services, retail, or manufacturing) is a plus.
  • Data Management or Data Modeling certifications (e.g., CDMP) desirable. AI focused certifications strongly desired.

EEO Statement

The compensation offered to the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s work experience, education and licenses, work-related training, key skills, the core duties of the role and its associated responsibilities, additional benefits offered, and the location where the work will be performed.
