BRG is seeking a Workday Solutions Engineer to join our Data & Business Solutions team, a small, highly dynamic, and entrepreneurial team within BRGs finance and accounting organization. The role will be cross-functional and interact with members within the finance, accounting, information technology, operations, and legal departments. The Workday Solutions Engineer will collaborate closely with members of the IT and Finance departments to design and implement Workday apps, integrations, and other solutions. Candidates wishing to be based in a BRG office will benefit by working from Emeryville, Chicago, Dallas or Washington, DC. BRG also welcomes candidates who wish to work remotely, with the expectation that the candidate can travel to an onsite office occasionally (anticipated 2-6 times per year).
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships: Collaborate with partner teams, especially within Accounting (General Ledger, Subcontractors, Billing, Matter Intake, Accounts Payable, etc.), to understand their needs and provide support.
- Develop an understanding: Learn the processes and objectives of partner teams to effectively contribute to projects.
- Implement solutions: Use Workday and other enterprise applications (Microsoft) to develop and deploy solutions based on predefined requirements.
- Build new solutions: Create new Extend apps, Prism datasets, integrations, reports, and other Workday solutions under guidance.
- Support maintenance: Assist in the upkeep and troubleshooting of existing Workday Extend apps and Prism datasets.
- Technical documentation: Draft and update technical documentation for Workday apps and integrations.
- Learn business processes: Gain knowledge of various business processes and cross-functional workflows to define system requirements, write specifications, and implement solutions.
- Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and scale current processes, suggesting enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar quantitative field.
- 0-2 years of research or work experience solving technical/analytical problems
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages.
- Demonstrated technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn, with initiative to partner collaboratively across the organization.
Useful (Nice to have):
- Direct, hands-on experience with APIs (REST and SOAP).
- Experience with Workday security model, business processes, and reporting.
- Experience with Workday Extend, Prism, Studio, or equivalent application development framework.
Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.
Salary Range:$75,000-$95,000
