?? Hillebrand Gori USA, LLC, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Import Pricing and Tradelane Manager! ??

As the Import Pricing and Tradelane Manager at Hillebrand Gori, you will play a pivotal role in managing pricing strategies and optimizing tradelane collaboration for our inbound beverage shipments from around the world. You will work closely with internal teams (operations, sales, and procurement) and external partners (customers) to produce and deliver market competitive rates, quickly and efficiently to our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage pricing strategies for ocean import services, taking into consideration market conditions, competition, and profitability objectives
  • Process: Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive speed to market improvements
  • Leadership: Build a high-performing team by hiring, training, and developing team members
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and growth
    • Provide clear leadership and set a strategic vision for the pricing team
    • Define the team's goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the company's overall pricing strategy
    • Ensure the team understands and executes the pricing strategy effectively
    • Establish clear guidelines and approval processes for setting prices
  • Performance Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on pricing performance, tradelane efficiency, and potential cost savings, providing insights for strategic decision-making
  • Tradelane Collaboration: Drive tradelane meetings and collaboration to ensure that we stay up to date with market trends and factors influencing our pricing strategies
  • Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, shipping rates, tariffs, and regulatory changes that could impact our profitability
  • Internal Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure pricing aligns with client needs and company goals
  • Customer Collaboration: Collaborate with customers (where needed) to provide pricing support, address customer inquiries, with ultimately assist us in securing new business opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in import / freight forwarding / sales
  • 3-5 years' experience managing other employees
  • Strong knowledge of the BWS (beer, wines, and spirits) market, including key players, industry regulations, and logistics requirements.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale accounts and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Domestic travel as required.
