Description
Leidos is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with robust experience and proficiency in managing multi-cloud environments and architecture. You will play a vital role in engineering solutions, establishing and enforcing governance models, delivering efficiency through automation, and enforcing regulatory compliance of cloud resources.
Specifically, in this role you will be responsible for:
Cloud Administration:
Deployment of cloud resources and managing resource lifecycles, compliance, and access rights.
Development and execution of deployments using infrastructure-as-code and usage of DevOps pipelines to operate cloud-native services and deployments.
Monitor and manage FinOps dashboards and overall cloud and resource costs.
Ensure the integrity and functional performance of data streams.
Develop and implement cloud governance strategies including but not limited to finops, guardrails, compliance, & tagging strategies.
Network Infrastructure:
Implement highly available network architectures and manage network security and network routing in a hybrid-cloud environment.
Manage IP based access rules, network address sourcing, and CIDR whitelists/blacklists.
Implement and operate cloud based VPNs, VPN Gateways, peering connections, private-links, and endpoint services.
Collaboration:
Communicate effectively and promptly with DevSecOps teams to implement appropriate cloud-native solutions and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of the system and network infrastructure including diagrams, configuration details, and operational procedures.
Participate in in-house training programs to foster and spread knowledge and awareness to project teams, promote and empower decision making, and manage incident reports.
Identify and implement cost-saving improvements and operational efficiencies over the lifespan of projects and resources.
Enable successful project outcomes by participating in application development lifecycles and building applications-as-code.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or similar field and 8+ years experience in managing compute environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and Amazon cloud environments.
Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity; implementation and operation of Azure Sentinel, and skillsets in managing regulatory compliance of cloud resources.
Proficiency with administering network architectures and concepts such as DNS, VPN, DHCP, TLS, IP subnetting and routing.
Demonstrated ability to automate infrastructure tasks.
Demonstrated ability to independently isolate and resolve problems.
Self-starter that can work independently while possessing the communication skills to work effectively with software development teams and customers.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain public trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar field.
Cloud or security related certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, and Certified Information System Security Professional.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure Policy, or Azure EntraID.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
Please note the salary range for this position will be approximately $125,000-$130,000.
