We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our engineering team. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering, permitting, and infrastructure development while learning from experienced professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with civil engineering design work including calculations, drafting, and development of technical drawings and specifications.
• Support the preparation and submission of permit applications (stormwater, water appropriations, wetlands, etc.).
• Collaborate with estimating and project management teams for takeoffs, plan reviews, and project documentation.
• Support GIS data entry and mapping for property layouts, soil borings, and land use.
• Participate in project meetings and pre-construction reviews.
• Help monitor and document Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).
• Contribute to field data collection and on-site project support when needed.
• Engage in training and mentorship to support development toward PE licensure.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (required).
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience in civil, geotechnical, or structural engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is strongly preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction methods and engineering codes.
• Eager to learn, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
• Willingness to travel to job sites across Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and Eastern Dakotas.
