The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Management and leadership responsibilities for the Purchasing team, responsible for sourcing and purchasing of all PSM products and services.
Support the Supply Chain organization, Director of Project Execution, and COO to define the global sourcing strategy for PSM Product Lines. to secure safety of supply at the right quality, competitive cost and lead times.
Align with other PSM and Hanwha purchasing entities for overall group Supply Chain optimization.
Responsible for improving Product Line & Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators. Initiates Supply Chain improvement projects (e.g., vendor OTD improvement, cost reductions, LCC development, inventory optimization, lead time reduction).
Able to conduct an effective supplier scan and develop a fact-based supplier profile summary. Capable of understanding supplier cost structures and methods to create supplier cost models
Able to create a coherent negotiation strategy based on the synthesized information from the sourcing scenario and strategy
Able to build a basic Total Cost of Ownership model and identify areas to further investigate for cost reduction opportunities
Able to perform and visualize several types of spend analysis. Can identify valuable insights and opportunities to reduce costs by changing what/where you buy.
Supervise direct reports including work assignments, weekly time sheet approval, performance evaluations, development plans and other issues relating to daily work and overall career development.
Able to complete a supply market analysis and draw some general insights. Subsequently, able to analyze supply market structures and apply relevant insights to strategy decisions.
Able to execute an effective performance contract that includes key performance targets that measure value aligned with the category strategy and holds both parties accountable
Able to consolidate and synthesize all required analyses and information to create a category sourcing strategy
Supports vendor selection for new product development activities in close collaboration with the Integrated Product Teams and aligned with company global network.
Work with Supply Chain management for establishing, negotiating and maintaining agreements with key suppliers that align with the goals and strategic objectives of the company.
Supports the incorporation and management of engineering product changes by being a core member of the Configuration Control Board (CCB). Attends weekly meetings and provides input on implementation timing, cost of change, inventory impact and other critical parameters.
Monitors applicable market Supply Chain trends, develops opportunities and anticipates threats. Benchmarks Supply Chain best practices across company global network and related gas turbine industries. Initiates changes to continuously improve the supply chain.
Consolidates GT Product Line Supply Chain sourcing strategy on a yearly basis into a Strategic Sourcing Plan, defining the target panel, per business and fleet requirements. Provides quarterly (minimum) updates on strategy execution.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Training
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant business or engineering discipline
Minimum of 7+ years of applicable experience in sourcing for related markets, manufacturing/repair environments, alloy material markets, or Aerospace or Gas Turbine related industries.
Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix
Skills/Experience
7+ years of experience in the understanding and execution of Supply Chain activities specifically related to Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) product development or related or involved markets.
10+ years of experience solving technical or organizational problems and facilitating agreement on cross-functional teams, with communication and negotiation skills at an advanced level.
Ability to harmonize industry knowledge, technical competencies and customer requirements to execute.
Proven track record of EHS leadership by example; including personal responsibility to prevent accidents, reward and encourage proactive safety, participation in risk assessment and EHS initiatives, take actions aligned to proper work conditions including business travel, customer site requirements, and overall employee well-being.
Strives for continuous improvement in process and business results and strong commitment to ethics and compliance.
Proficient in computer applications relevant to operational management; including SAP, MS Office programs and TeamCenter.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to present technical topics to peers, higher management and customers
Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills, including ability to motivate and influence.
Exceptional organization and planning skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, projects or programs with on-time delivery and on budget.
Multilingual candidate is a plus.
